Employee Health and Wellbeing Workplace Sexual Harassment Laws Updated

BIG NEWS! On August 30, 2023, the government updated workplace sexual harassment laws:

  •  Employers now need to take “reasonable steps” to prevent sexual harassment, not “all reasonable steps” as before. Look out for a workplace harassment code of practice to guide employers.
  •  Employers should review policies, training, and reporting mechanisms.
  •  Liability for third-party harassment is now dropped.
